“Ow” said Adilyn, pulling away from Jessica and rubbing her head where she’d hit it on the roof of the car. “Remind me again why we have to do this here instead of at your place?” Making out at Adilyn’s house wasn’t an option, since she lived with her father, but Jessica didn't.
“Because of Willa.” It wasn’t that Jessica didn’t trust Willa around Adilyn. But like all vampires, Willa had excellent hearing, and the idea of her roommate hearing them together made Jessica uncomfortable.
Adilyn sighed. “Next time you get a car, pick one with a higher roof.” She loved these moments with Jessica, but they would be a lot more comfortable if the space was less cramped.
“Noted” said Jessica, pulling Adilyn towards her so that they'd continue kissing.
Before that could happen, Adilyn said “I’ve been thinking of moving out.” She figured it was about time. She felt like an adult now. At least, adult enough to have her own place.
Jessica widened her eyes. Smiling, she said “Have you mentioned this to Andy?” She knew Andy wouldn’t be thrilled with the idea.
Adilyn shook her head. “No, not yet.”
“I’ll be there for support when you tell him if you want me to be. But for now can we just go back to kissing?”
Adilyn chuckled. Then she leaned in to her girlfriend and pressed her lips to the redhead’s. She’d worry about talking to Andy later. Right now, she just wanted to enjoy the moment.
