When Mallory changed the past, nobody was supposed to remember the apocalypse. But it had been weeks since then, and each night Coco was somehow plagued by dreams of the timeline that was erased. After a few days of this, Mallory finally told Coco the truth, but swore her to secrecy.
As Coco woke up from yet another nightmare and turned on the bedside light, Mallory wrapped an arm around the other woman. Then she said “Another bad dream?”
Coco nodded. “I keep remembering how horrible I was to you.”
Mallory gave Coco a smile and said “But it wasn’t you. You’re the kindest person I know.” The timeline might have changed a lot, but that much had remained the same. “Besides, if you hadn’t been so cruel to me, Michael would have found us before we could fix everything he ruined.”
Coco sighed, turning the light off and trying to settle back into bed. “It’s just annoying. You saved the world and nobody but us will ever know.”
“It’s probably better that way. Imagine how much people would freak out if they knew the world had ended and was only narrowly avoided because of time travel?” There were some things the human mind just couldn’t cope with, even if society was more accepting of magic and witches than they were before Cordelia took over the academy.
“Well I know. And I think you’re amazing.”
Mallory laughed. “I think you’re pretty amazing too.” She pressed a kiss to Coco’s cheek.
