Hope pressed her lips to Josie’s. The two girls had been sitting together in Hope’s bedroom watching a movie, and the redhead was suddenly struck by the urge to be brave and make a move. She’d known for a while now that Josie had a crush on her, but the timing hadn’t worked out. Josie had, until recently, been dating Peneope. But Penelope was overseas now, and Hope figured it was time to make her feelings for Josie clear.

What she hadn’t expected was the kiss to take Josie by surprise. Suddenly, Hope felt her magic being siphoned from her. Pulling back, she gave a gasp.

“I am so sorry” Josie said, a blush creeping into her cheeks. “I didn’t mean to do that. You just surprised me.”

After a moment, Hope said “It’s okay. I think I surprised both of us.”

“Are you okay?” Josie asked, showing concern for the other girl.

Hope nodded.

“Okay good. Because if you’re okay, I’d like to try that again. Minus the accidental siphoning, of course.”

A smile formed on Hope’s lips. Then she said “I think I can manage that.” She kissed Josie again, and this time she felt nothing but bliss.
