Since coming back from the dead, Laura Hale had been spending a lot of time with her younger sister. Cora had been missing when Laura was murdered, so they had a lot of time to make up for. As a result, their relationship was stronger than ever.

Which is how Laura knew something was on Cora’s mind. “What are you thinking about?” she asked as they sat on the couch in the living room of their new house.

After a moment, Cora said “How did you know when you were in love with Marin?”

Laura raised her eyebrows in surprise. “Is this about a relationship?" She was unable to hide her excitement. If her little sister was in love with someone, it would give them something to bond over.

Cora said “Don’t get too excited. It’s still fairly new.”

“But you’re in love?”

Cora nodded. “I think so.”

“Well, if you think so, then I’m sure you are. Who is this someone special?”

Cora hesitated. Then she said “Erica.”

Laura’s excitement grew. She’d figured out fairly early on as a teenager that she was a lesbian. But she knew everyone figured out their sexuality at their own pace, and if Cora was sorting through these feelings for a girl for the first time, then Laura wanted to be supportive.

From where she stood in the hallway outside the living room, Erica smiled as she overheard the conversation. Cora was not the only one in their relationship who was in love.
