Rebekah stepped into her room at the abattoir. As she shut the door, she noticed the window leading out onto the balcony was open. Immediately she went into defensive mode, thinking someone might have broken into her room. Which was foolish, all things considered.
In the blink of an eye, she grabbed a hold of the intruder and had them pinned against the wall. Then did a double take when she realized who the trespasser was. “Aurora?” she said in surprise, her grip loosening slightly when she processed who stood before her.
“Did you miss me?” Aurora asked, a smile forming on her face.
Letting Aurora go, Rebekah said “What are you doing here?” Last Rebekah had heard, Aurora was locked up somewhere on the other side of the world, thanks to her dangerous levels of instability.
“I got bored” Aurora said. “So I thought I would pop in and visit my favorite original vampire.”
Rebekah felt the familiar sensations of butterflies in her stomach and heat between her legs. How was it possible that after almost 1,000 years the redhead still had this effect on her?
“Did you miss me?” Aurora repeated. “Or did you move on to someone younger and forget about me?”
“I could never forget about you” Rebekah said after a moment. Aurora was her oldest love, and as a result they shared a connection nobody else could really compare to.
“Good” said Aurora, grabbing Rebekah’s hair and pulling her into a long overdue kiss.
